  1. SCOPE<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    The principles and standards of conduct embodied in CIDPCC\u2019s Charter of Ethics bind all those involved in its activity, namely, researchers and other collaborators.<\/p>\n

    CIDPCC observes a variety of sources in the pursuit of its mission, including the applicable national and European legislation, namely the Charter of Fundamental Rights of the European Union, the European Convention on Human Rights, the Codes of Ethics of the various scientific disciplines represented in the Centre, the Constitution of the Portuguese Republic, the Portuguese Penal and Labour Codes, the General Data Protection Regulation of the Portuguese Commission for Data Protection, the Portuguese Legal Regime of the Research and Development (R&D) Institutions, the European Code of Conduct for Research Integrity, the European Charter for Researchers and the Code of Conduct for the Recruitment of Researchers, the European Charter of Ethics on the Use of Artificial Intelligence in Judicial Systems and their Environment, SAGE Charter of Principles for Gender Equality, the Regulation on Academic Fraud in Master\u2019s and PhD Study Cycles, in the Scientific Council\u2019s Resolution (13.11.2013, Minutes no. 10), both of the Faculty of Law of the University of Lisbon, as well the Students\u2019 Disciplinary Regulation and the Code of Conduct and Good Practices of the University of Lisbon and this Charter of Ethics.<\/p>\n

    In the event of a violation of any of the principles enshrined in the Charter, an ad hoc<\/em> committee shall be appointed by the Director of the Centre to assess the facts and issue an opinion on the measures to be taken.<\/span><\/p>\n
