The Research Award Professor Augusto Silva Dias (PIASD) is instituted by the Institute of Criminal Law and Criminal Sciences (IDPCC) and by the Criminal Law and Criminal Sciences Research Center (CIDPCC), both affiliated to the University of Lisbon School of Law, in partnership with the Academic Association of the Faculty of Law of Lisbon (AAFDL), to honor the scientific and human legacy of Professor Doctor Augusto Silva Dias, in order to promote research and study on the themes of Criminal Law, Procedural Law Criminal, Probationary Criminal Law, Criminal Policy, Criminology, Administrative Law and Philosophy of Law.
