Obituary Lauro António

It is with great sadness that the Research Center for Criminal Law and Criminal Sciences of University of Lisbon School of Law announces the passing of our researcher Dr. Lauro António. The well-known film director, with an important work of feature films and telefilms, was also a film critic, essayist, cultural promoter, teacher and festival director. As researcher at the Center, he co-organized a postgraduate course — unprecedented for its interdisciplinarity — on film noir and criminal law, giving the initial impulse to the ongoing research line in criminal law and film (law and films) that has already given rise to some first studies.
